Davin Mitchell

Davin Mitchell (Articled Student)

Davin joined Acumen Law Corporation after graduating from the University of British Columbia’s Peter A. Allard School of law in May 2018. During law school, as a result of his volunteering with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program (LSLAP), Davin gained a vast amount of experience representing clients before the BC Provincial Court and numerous administrative tribunals. Davin also assisted undergraduate university students with proper legal factum writing which has contributed to his excellent ability to help people easily understand their complex legal problems.

Prior to enrolling in Law School, Davin both completed a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, graduating with ‘Great Distinction’ as the highest achieving student in his graduating class, and worked as a correctional officer in central Alberta. This has afforded Davin a unique perspective when it comes to problems in our justice system. Recognising that law enforcement is not always fully truthful, Davin is building his career ensuring the police treat the public fairly and with decency.

Davin works extremely hard to provide both professional and compassionate customer service that recognises the true impact people experience during legal dispute. To him, success is always working towards his full potential, not being afraid to challenge the status quo, and exhausting all potential avenues in achieving a fair and just outcome for his clients. He is completing his articling with Paul Doroshenko, Q.C..
