She is a Family Studies graduate of the University of British Columbia, and a Law graduate from the University of Windsor. While completing her Bachelor of Arts at the University of British Columbia, she served on the Family Studies Student Council, where she represented the Family Studies student body at meetings with faculty and led efforts to collaborate with Social Work students to fund raise for the University.
While completing her Juris Doctor at the University of Windsor, Agnes actively engaged her advocacy skills helping impoverished and marginalized clients at the Legal Assistance of Windsor and at Community Legal Aid. Agnes is a former Crown Prosecutor with experience as a Northern Crown prosecutor handling highway traffic offences, bail and sentencing matters at the Provincial Court of Newfoundland and Labrador. Her experience with law enforcement also includes having worked as a customs inspector with the former Canada Customs and Revenue Agency at Vancouver International Airport.
