Born and raised in Edmonton and having spent much of his childhood on an Alberta farm, Vancouver Lawyer Jason Koshman is a down to earth, pragmatic lawyer with a get-things-done attitude. He is a 1992 graduate of the University of British Columbia Law School. He started his legal career with a large downtown Vancouver law firm with a practice focused on labour and employment matters.

For over a decade Jason Koshman was corporate in-house counsel, holding a number of senior management and in-house legal positions for large provincial and multinational organizations. He returned to private practice with the team at Acumen, bringing his expertise and legal skills from both sides of the bargaining table.

His broad based experience brings a real world approach to the legal problems faced by his clients and unique insight into how to solve them. Jason Koshman has significant experience and expertise in employment litigation, administrative law and tribunal adjudication. Jason has acted as general counsel for a 73 member company employer organization, and has held management and operational roles within one of North America’s largest energy companies.

Jason Koshman’s law practice at Acumen includes Labour and Employment, ICBC Accident Injury Claims,  Alternate Dispute Resolution and Contract Disputes.

Jason acts for companies large and small dealing with labour contract disputes, contract negotiations and litigation for breach of contract for professional services. He acts for either side concerning agreements and contracts to provide workers for a particular project. He is available for contract negotiations for professionals and to represent professionals before regulating bodies and associations.

As well, Jason offers collective bargaining services and a variety of training programs for employers and employees.
